Msi Claw A1M 7" 1080p Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How Each Handheld Alternative Compares

MSI Claw A1M 7" 1080p Handheld

This MSI Claw variation shares the same Claw A1M-052US model architecture, black color, and 1.44-pound weight as the original unit. It features an identical 7-inch 1080p touchscreen running at 120Hz and keeps the exact 11.6 by 4.6 by 0.83-inch dimensions. While the core display, physical handling, and chassis footprint are identical, its listing focuses squarely on the primary handheld configuration rather than detailed interface listings. You give up no screen speed or handheld mobility compared to the base version. Pick this alternative if you want the exact same form factor, display specifications, and weight in your handheld setup.

LANRUO GPD Win 5 7-inch Handheld

The LANRUO GPD Win 5 upgrades hardware capacity significantly, offering 32GB of RAM and a 2TB drive compared to the Claw's 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It switches from the Intel Ultra 5-135H and Intel Arc graphics to an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor paired with AMD Radeon 8060S graphics. Both handhelds feature a 7-inch 1080p 120Hz touchscreen running Windows. However, you give up lightweight handling. At 4.96 pounds and measuring 11.8 by 9.2 by 3.3 inches, it is substantially bulkier than the 1.44-pound MSI Claw. Choose this model if you need vastly expanded internal memory and storage capacity.

WEELIAO GPD Win Mini Pro 7" 120Hz

The WEELIAO GPD Win Mini Pro replaces the Claw's Intel Core Ultra 5-135H chip with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. It doubles system memory to 32GB RAM and quadruples internal storage to 2TB SSD, whereas the Claw includes 16GB RAM and a 512GB drive. Both systems share a 7-inch 1080p 120Hz touchscreen and run Windows 11. The chassis is shorter in width at 8.46 inches versus 11.6 inches on the Claw, but thicker at 2.88 inches compared to 0.83 inches. Pick this handheld if you prioritize higher onboard memory and expansive drive space over the Claw's slimmer profile.

MSI Claw A1M 7" FHD Handheld

This MSI Claw alternative upgrades internal solid-state capacity, providing a 1TB SSD instead of the original's 512GB drive. Aside from doubled storage space, it maintains identical specifications across the rest of the build. It features the same 7-inch 1080p touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM, and black finish. The dimensions remain exactly 11.6 by 4.6 by 0.83 inches, and the weight matches at 1.44 pounds. You give up no physical portability or display features from the original unit. Choose this model if you want the exact MSI Claw form factor and screen but need greater built-in storage for your game library.

ASUS ROG Ally 7 120Hz Ryzen Z1

The ASUS ROG Ally utilizes an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor instead of the Intel Ultra 5-135H chip and Intel Arc graphics found on the Claw. It matches the Claw's 16GB of RAM, 512GB storage capacity, and 7-inch 1080p 120Hz touchscreen. The chassis is white, measuring 11 inches long and 4.4 inches wide, making it slightly narrower than the 11.6-inch Claw. However, at 2.89 pounds, it weighs double the Claw's 1.44-pound frame. You give up the Claw's lighter weight and black design. Select this option if you want AMD Ryzen processing and prefer a white chassis over the Intel-powered Claw.

ASUS ROG Ally 7-Inch Ryzen Z1 Extreme

This ASUS ROG Ally model features an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor rather than the Claw's Intel Core Ultra 5-135H hardware. At 1.1 pounds, it is lighter than the 1.44-pound Claw, and its 11 by 4.4 by 0.8-inch white body is slightly more compact than the Claw's 11.6 by 4.6 by 0.83-inch casing. Both handhelds feature a 7-inch 1080p touchscreen running at 120Hz, along with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. You give up the Claw's black finish and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. Pick this alternative if you want lighter handheld weight and prefer AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processing.
