How Alternative Handheld Gaming PCs Compare
WEELIAO GPD Win Mini 7-inch Handheld
The WEELIAO GPD Win Mini features an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor instead of the AMD Ryzen Z2 A found in the Mavark handheld. Both share 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 7-inch 1080p display running at 120Hz. This model comes in black and measures 6.65 by 2.88 by 8.46 inches. However, it ships with standard Windows 11 rather than Windows 11 Pro, and it does not list the 80Wh battery capacity of the original. You should pick this handheld if you want an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor in a black casing.
ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Handheld
This ASUS ROG Ally model includes an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and a 7-inch 120Hz 1080p touchscreen. It matches the original Mavark unit with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB storage drive. For sizing, the white chassis measures 11 inches long, 4.37 inches wide, and 0.83 inches tall. You give up the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor and the Windows 11 Pro operating system, as this model runs standard Windows 11. Choose this alternative if you specifically prefer the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme hardware platform and want a confirmed touchscreen display for your games.
ASUS ROG Ally 7 120Hz Ryzen Z1
The ASUS ROG Ally with Ryzen Z1 provides a 7-inch 120Hz 1080p touchscreen display alongside 16GB of RAM. It measures 11 by 4.4 by 0.8 inches in white. Compared to the original Mavark handheld, you give up half the internal storage, dropping from 1TB to 512GB. You also trade the AMD Ryzen Z2 A chip for a standard Ryzen Z1 processor. At 2.89 pounds, it is heavier than the 1.49-pound original. Pick this model if you want a 7-inch 120Hz touchscreen handheld and can manage with 512GB of onboard space.
ASUS ROG Ally 7-Inch Ryzen Z1 Extreme
This ASUS ROG Ally variant weighs 1.1 pounds, making it lighter to hold than the 1.49-pound Mavark handheld. It features an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and a 7-inch 1080p touchscreen operating at 120Hz. You retain 16GB of system memory. In exchange for the lighter build, you sacrifice storage capacity, as it provides 512GB instead of 1TB. You also do not get the AMD Ryzen Z2 A chip or Windows 11 Pro. Select this unit if you prioritize lower overall device weight for portable play over having 1TB of internal storage space.
WEELIAO GPD Win Mini 7-Inch Handheld PC
The WEELIAO GPD Win Mini comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor, matching the Mavark handheld with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It carries a 7-inch 1080p touchscreen display.
