If you are exploring qlcgiwo rg56pro 5 5 inch retro alternatives, comparing key hardware details helps you make an informed decision. The QLCGIWO RG56PRO delivers solid features, including a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 720x1280 resolution, a Rockchip RK3562 quad-core processor, and a dual-boot setup running EmuELEC and RGBOX. You also get Hall-effect linear triggers, dual 3D joysticks, a 5000mAh battery, and HDMI TV output for playing on an external monitor.
However, your handheld priorities might point you toward a different brand, form factor, or spec sheet. You might prefer a more pocketable 3.2-inch or 4.3-inch screen, a higher 1080p panel resolution, or the flexibility of an Android operating system. The 6 alternatives on this list were chosen because their specs overlap with the original, sharing core attributes like 64GB storage, IPS panels, and dedicated retro gaming controls. This guide compares those shared and contrasting specifications so you can pick the right handheld for your setup.
Our top pick: QLCGIWO RG56PRO 5.5 Inch Retro Handheld.
Comparing the RG56PRO to Alternatives
AISLPC RG52MINI Retro Handheld 5.5" IPS
The AISLPC RG52MINI features a black housing with 64GB of memory, matching the 64GB storage capacity of the RG56PRO. It includes a 5.5-inch IPS laminated screen and analog triggers for precise input, along with HDMI connectivity for external TV play. In comparison, the RG56PRO lists a specific Rockchip RK3562 quad-core processor and dual-boot system software. The RG52MINI lists square dimensions of 1 by 1 by 1 inches. You should pick this device if you want a black chassis with HDMI video output and analog triggers.
Trimui Brick Hammer 3.2-Inch Handheld
The Trimui Brick Hammer measures 4.33 by 2.88 by 0.46 inches in a gold finish, making it far more compact than the 8.89-inch RG56PRO. Both units share 64GB of memory and IPS display technology. However, you give up the larger 5.5-inch screen and 720x1280 resolution of the RG56PRO for a smaller 3.2-inch panel. You also lose the dual 3D joysticks and Hall-effect triggers present on the original. Choose this handheld if you prioritize pocketable dimensions and bring your own game library on the go.
Zanre MANGMI AIR X White Handheld
The Zanre MANGMI AIR X upgrades display sharpness with a 1080p IPS panel compared to the 720x1280 screen on the RG56PRO. It runs Android rather than the EmuELEC and RGBOX dual setup, allowing access to cloud gaming alongside emulation. The white chassis measures 8.01 by 3.44 by 0.66 inches and weighs 10.1 ounces, offering active cooling. You trade away the RG56PRO dual-system switching and Rockchip RK3562 quad-core configuration. You should choose this model if you want an Android platform with active cooling and a sharper 1080p resolution.
Gamkowy RG55G1 5.5-inch Android 14
The Gamkowy RG55G1 features Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 hardware with active thermal management running on an Android platform. Both devices use a 5.5-inch IPS display and include 64GB of storage. Unlike the RG56PRO, which includes over 5,000 built-in games, the RG55G1 requires you to install your own software library. You also give up the dual-system EmuELEC environment and Hall-effect linear triggers of the original. You should pick this alternative if you want Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 processing power, Android flexibility, and dedicated cooling for your own retro game collection.
QLCGIWO RG43V Pro 4.3" IPS Retro Handheld
The QLCGIWO RG43V Pro downscales to a 4.3-inch IPS display in a red shell measuring 5.43 by 4.13 by 1.5 inches. Like the RG56PRO, it maintains dual-system support and 64GB of memory for classic 2D and fifth-generation 3D titles. However, it gives up the larger 5.5-inch screen, the 720x1280 resolution, and the slimmer 0.75-inch thickness of the RG56PRO. You also forgo the customizable joystick lighting. Pick this device if you want the same dual-system brand architecture in a shorter footprint tailored for retro gaming.
Wsifybt RG43V Pro Retro Handheld
The Wsifybt RG43V Pro comes in a black finish and provides dual-system emulation with HDMI connectivity. It shares 64GB of memory and IPS display technology with the RG56PRO. While it retains TV output capability, it abandons the larger 5.5-inch form factor, the 720x1280 panel resolution, and the 5000mAh battery capacity specified on the RG56PRO. It also foregoes the Hall-effect linear triggers and mechanical buttons. Select this alternative if you want dual-system emulation and HDMI connectivity in an all-black format focused on external display flexibility.
