The AIUOUS Powkiddy X55 5.5-Inch Retro Console delivers a large display and strong connectivity for handheld retro gaming. If you are searching for aiuous powkiddy x55 handheld retro alternatives, you may want different specifications. This device features a 5.5-inch IPS screen with 720x1280 resolution and an RK3566 processor. It includes 128GB of storage and supports HDMI output for TV play. However, the 4-hour battery life and 8.34-inch length might not suit everyone.
These 6 alternatives were chosen because their specs overlap with the original. You can find options with smaller screens like the 4.3-inch KNVNGGRFE RG43V Pro for better portability. Some models offer different storage capacities or dual-screen designs. Others prioritize compact dimensions or specific connectivity features. Each listed product maintains the core retro gaming function while varying in size, processor, or display type. This allows you to select a device that matches your preferred balance of screen real estate, battery life, and physical footprint.
How alternatives compare to X55
KNVNGGRFE RG43V Pro Retro Handheld
The KNVNGGRFE RG43V Pro is significantly smaller than the AIUOUS Powkiddy X55. Its 4.3-inch display is more compact, and the device measures 6.8 inches in length compared to the X55’s 8.34 inches. You gain a lighter package at 14.4 ounces, which aids portability. However, you lose the larger screen real estate and the specific RK3566 processor details found in the X55 data. This model suits those who prioritize a smaller footprint and TV output over the X55’s 5.5-inch high-definition IPS panel and built-in game library.
WDYQJE RG43V Pro 4.3-Inch Retro Handheld
The WDYQJE RG43V Pro shares the compact 4.3-inch form factor with the KNVNGGRFE version. It is shorter and lighter than the AIUOUS Powkiddy X55, measuring 6.8 inches long and weighing 14.4 ounces. This makes it easier to hold for extended periods. You trade the X55’s 5.5-inch 720x1280 IPS screen for a smaller display. The choice here depends on whether you value the X55’s larger visual area and 128G storage or the RG43V Pro’s reduced size and local multiplayer focus for retro gaming on the go.
Petforu X55 5.5-Inch IPS Handheld
The Petforu X55 maintains the 5.5-inch screen size but differs in physical dimensions. It is slightly wider at 3.72 inches compared to the AIUOUS Powkiddy X55’s 3.66 inches. The Petforu model is also marginally longer at 8.37 inches. It is designed for players who want the same large display experience but prefer a slightly different chassis fit. You keep the IPS display type and focus on large-screen retro gaming. This alternative offers similar storage priorities but adjusts the ergonomic dimensions slightly for your hand size and grip preference.
AIUOUS Powkiddy X55 5.5-Inch IPS
The AIUOUS Powkiddy X55 5.5-Inch IPS variant is nearly identical to the original but has minor dimension changes. It is slightly longer at 8.67 inches compared to the 8.34-inch original. The width remains close at 3.67 inches. This version retains the 5.5-inch IPS screen and HDMI output capabilities. You get the same large display and connectivity options. The difference is negligible in terms of specs, but the slight increase in length may affect how it fits in your pocket. It is a solid choice for those who want the X55 experience with a marginally different body size.
AISLPC RG52MINI Retro Handheld 5.5" IPS
The AISLPC RG52MINI features a 5.5-inch IPS screen similar to the AIUOUS Powkiddy X55. It highlights 64GB RAM and 64GB memory, offering a different storage configuration. The device includes HDMI connectivity for TV output, matching the X55’s external display capability. However, the specific processor and battery details are not provided in the data. This model suits players who want a 5.5-inch laminated screen and precise analog triggers. You trade the X55’s known RK3566 processor and 4000mAh battery specs for this unit’s focus on RAM and storage capacity for retro titles.
Gamkowy RG DS Plus Dual-Screen
The Gamkowy RG DS Plus is a dual-screen flip design, which is a major departure from the AIUOUS Powkiddy X55’s single 5.5-inch panel. It features a 4.3-inch IPS display in a compact form. This device is built for stylus-friendly retro gaming, a feature the X55 does not emphasize. You lose the large screen and high-resolution display of the X55 for a unique dual-screen experience. This alternative is for users who value a robust, flip design and stylus input over the X55’s straightforward single-screen layout and larger 720x1280 resolution for classic gaming.
