Comparing 7-Inch and 7.4-Inch Handheld Hardware
Screen Size
Screen size influences viewable surface area and handheld immersion. The Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement provides a 7.4-inch display panel. In comparison, the ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld features a 7-inch screen size. The 7.4-inch measurement on the Olivechard panel delivers extra diagonal viewing space across your interface. The ASUS ROG Ally retains a standard 7-inch form factor that keeps the chassis dimensions at 4.4 inches wide by 11 inches long. If you prioritize maximum display diagonal on your device, the Olivechard screen replacement yields a larger 7.4-inch viewable area than the 7-inch ASUS panel.
Processor Hardware
Processor specifications determine computational speed and general handling of PC game titles. The ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld comes equipped with an AMD Z1 Extreme processor, also designated as the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme. This built-in silicon drives the entire system architecture. Conversely, the Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement does not list a processor in its specifications because it serves as an OLED display assembly with a touch digitizer. Because the Olivechard listing lacks computing hardware specs, the ASUS ROG Ally holds the clear functional lead here with its dedicated AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processing unit for your gaming software.
Refresh Rate
Refresh rate indicates how many times per second the display updates frames during fast motion. The ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld features a 120Hz refresh rate. This metric allows smooth visual output during compatible handheld titles. Meanwhile, the Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement does not list a refresh rate figure in its official specifications. The Olivechard documentation focuses on its glossy finish, OLED material, and touch response repair capabilities instead. If you want a verified high refresh rate specification for fluid gaming visuals, the ASUS ROG Ally provides an explicit 120Hz rate, whereas the Olivechard display provides no listed value.
Display Type
Display type affects panel contrast, lighting construction, and overall color reproduction. The Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement features a glossy OLED display assembly with an integrated touch screen digitizer. OLED technology provides distinct panel contrast and vivid colors without requiring a separate backlight layer. In contrast, the ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld does not specify its display panel technology in the provided data, listing only its 7-inch dimensions and 120Hz refresh rate. If your setup requires confirmed OLED panel hardware with a glossy reflective finish, the Olivechard replacement explicitly provides verified OLED panel specifications for your Steam Deck OLED repair needs.
RAM Capacity
System memory capacity impacts how much data your device can keep active for multitasking and background applications. The Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement lists 64GB RAM and 64GB memory under its product attributes for the PC platform. On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld provides no RAM or system memory details in its published specifications. You only receive data regarding its processor, 512GB storage capacity, and screen size. Because the ASUS ROG Ally omits RAM capacity from its data, the Olivechard listing is the only option here that specifies a 64GB RAM attribute.
Storage Capacity
Internal storage dictates how many game installations and system files you can retain locally. The ASUS ROG Ally 7" 120Hz Z1 Extreme Handheld provides 512GB of built-in storage capacity for your game files. Similarly, the Olivechard 7.4-Inch OLED Screen Replacement lists a storage capacity attribute of 512GB, while also noting compatibility across 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB hardware configurations. Both options therefore share an identical 512GB storage capacity figure in their respective specifications. Since neither product exceeds the other on this specific 512GB internal storage rating, this category results in an even tie between the ASUS ROG Ally and the Olivechard replacement.
