Who it fits
Good fit for
This handheld suits retro enthusiasts who value screen accuracy. The 1:1 square display is ideal for pixel-perfect classics. The RK3566 chip handles most legacy systems smoothly. You will appreciate the 64GB storage for your ROM library. The HDMI output lets you connect to a TV or monitor. Bluetooth support allows you to use external controllers for local multiplayer. It is a solid choice for portable emulation sessions.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need modern 3D gaming. The RK3566 chip is not built for demanding recent titles. The 4-inch screen may feel small for detailed modern interfaces. The 64GB storage fills up quickly with large game files. If you require a general-purpose PC, this device lacks the power. It is strictly an emulation-focused handheld, not a versatile computer for heavy tasks.
Verdict: The AIUOUS RGB30 is a capable retro handheld with a specialized square screen and solid emulation hardware. It delivers a focused experience for classic gaming fans.
Key specs explained
RK3566 CPU
This processor handles emulation tasks by managing game logic and system operations. It ensures smooth performance for retro titles without stuttering. You get consistent frame rates during gameplay. This chip is suitable for players who want reliable emulation of older consoles. It is a standard choice for entry-level handhelds in this category.
4-inch IPS display
The screen offers a 1:1 square aspect ratio, which is ideal for retro games. IPS technology provides better color accuracy and viewing angles than TN panels. You see clearer images from different positions. This size balances portability with visibility. It is comparable to other 4-inch handhelds but distinct for its square format.
4100mAh lithium battery
This capacity supports up to 8 hours of gaming on a single charge. You can play for extended periods without needing to recharge. The battery life is sufficient for travel or long sessions. It is a practical feature for portable use. Compare this to larger handhelds that may offer longer playtimes but are less compact.
WiFi and Bluetooth
Wireless connectivity allows you to connect to controllers and access online features. You can pair Bluetooth controllers for comfortable input. WiFi enables online multiplayer and game downloads. This versatility enhances the gaming experience. It is a standard feature in modern handhelds, allowing for flexible setup options.
16+64G storage
The device includes 16GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This space holds the operating system, preloaded games, and your own files. You have ample room for a large library of retro titles. The RAM ensures smooth multitasking. This configuration is typical for budget-friendly handhelds, offering decent capacity for emulation.
Design and Build Overview
The AIUOUS RGB30 measures 5.7 inches in length, 3.4 inches in height, and 0.7 inches in width. According to the listing, the chassis is available in black, blue, or white. These dimensions suggest a compact form factor that fits easily into your hands. The slim profile allows for comfortable one-handed or two-handed play without adding significant bulk to your bag.
The device features a 4-inch IPS screen with a 1:1 square aspect ratio. This layout is designed specifically for retro gaming, matching the original proportions of classic arcade cabinets. The square screen ensures that pixel art and older game titles display correctly without stretching or distortion. You get a faithful visual experience for the library of 10,000 pre-loaded games.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as noted in the product attributes. This wireless capability lets you pair external controllers or play online multiplayer games. The unit also includes an HDMI interface and a 3.5mm headphone jack. These ports allow you to connect the handheld to a TV, monitor, or projector, or to use private audio. The build supports versatile use cases, from portable travel to stationary gaming setups.

The unit also supports wireless connectivity through built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. You can use these features to connect Bluetooth controllers for versatile gaming options. This setup supports multiplayer games with friends and family without needing extra cables. The device runs the JELOS operating system. This software manages your game library and system functions. You can search for games, view recent history, and create a favorites list. The save and load functions allow you to pick up where you left off. Power management is handled by a built-in 4100mAh lithium battery. The listing states this provides up to 8 hours of gaming time. This capacity supports entertainment during journeys or long trips. The RK3566 chip ensures smooth performance at 60Hz. This means you get consistent frame rates without stuttering during gameplay. The 4-inch 1:1 square IPS screen is designed for retro gaming. It supports over 20 mainstream game formats. You can download compatible games to expand your library. The combination of wired and wireless options gives you flexibility in how you connect and play.
Before You Buy This Retro Handheld
You should verify that your game files match the supported formats before purchasing. The listing mentions compatibility with over twenty mainstream retro game types, but you must ensure your specific titles work with the JELOS system. Since the device includes 64GB of storage, you will likely need a high-speed microSD card if you plan to download additional content beyond the pre-installed library. The 4100mAh battery provides up to eight hours of play, which is sufficient for travel, but you may want a USB-C cable for extended sessions. This handheld sits alongside other retro-focused options by prioritizing emulation over modern PC gaming. It lacks the power for new AAA titles, so it suits players who value classic arcade experiences. Keep the HDMI cable handy if you prefer playing on a television rather than the built-in square screen. Regularly backing up your save files is also wise, as the system supports save and load functions for convenience.
